Grow Career Development Program
The mission of the Grow Career Development Program is to combine academics with experience in today's workplace and community to bring relevance to learning and prepare for transition into adulthood.  This is accomplished through allowing students better understanding the connection between educational choices and future career and community opportunities.  The students will be prepared for post-secondary opportunities, career training options, economically viable careers, and healthy productive lives.

The Grow Career Development Program provides high school aged students with community based and inclusion job opportunities, as well as functional academics and life skills.  The students are provided the fundamental skills necessary for entry level employment and / or community access.  The program is designed to enable students to develop experiences, skills and confidence in a work setting and in the community.  Students learn through a blend of community based employment experiences as well as classroom based academic work.  In addition to the fundamental skills necessary for employment, students are also taught functions life skills activities as well.

While on the job, students are closely supervised by a career specialist in a small group setting of no more than 2-3 students.  As the student gains the necessary skills and demonstrates greater independence, the career specialist may begin to gradually fade supports.  Students who meet the eligibility requirements are given the opportunity to participate in internships within their vocational interest area.

All of the students will receive personal transition planning and case management.
